Dr. Mario Roccuzzo is a adjunct professor in the Division of Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Turin, Italy and Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Periodontics and Oral Medicine at the University of Michigan, USA. Dr. Roccuzzo teaches periodontology for several Master’s courses at the Universities of Turin, Bologna and Milan . He is an ITI Fellow, former Chair of the ITI Section Italy, chair of the Leadership Development Committee, and the ITI Study Club Director in Turin. He serves on the editorial board of Clinical Oral Implants Research, the International Journal of Esthetic Dentistry, and the International Journal of Periodontics & Restorative Dentistry. Dr. Roccuzzo has been invited to lecture in more than 50 countries on every continent. He was distinguished for the best clinical presentation at the 2009 EAO Congress and for the best published research article by the German Society of Periodontology in 2010. Winner of the 2013 Osteology Clinical Research Prize, and in 2015 of the best clinical presentation at the SIDO International Congress. He maintains a private practice limited to periodontology and implantology in Turin. He is the co-author of the recent book “Peri-implant Soft-Tissue Integration and Management”.
